#17. Question of the Week

I am a 4-digit odd number. The digit in my tens place is the smallest odd number. The digit in my ones place is 4 more than the digit in the tens place. The digit in the thousands place is thrice the digit in the hundreds place. If the digit in the hundreds place is 2, what number am I? ————————————————— The first topic to be taught in Primary 3 will be "Numbers up to 10 000". Besides basic arithmetics involving 4-digit numbers, higher order thinking questions would incorporate the concept of "Place Values" with problem sums. This week, we would like to share with you the typical way "Place Values" concepts are tested in problem sums. Have a go at solving it! If you can't figure it out, you can take a look at the solution below.
